Mel Brown gets his well deserved unveiling of the 219th Mississippi Trail Marker hosted by The Grand River Blues Society at The Kitchener Blues Festival. Thank You Terry Pender.Right beside the building at 44 Queen St. S that housed Pop the Gator is a Mississippi Blues Trail marker for Mel Brown. The Jazz-soul-funk-blues fusion guitar master is marker number 218 on the Mississippi Blues Trail. The first in Canada. The first outside the US dedicated to a single musician instead of the Mississippi blues generally. About 100 attended the unveiling. #KBF2025 #GrandRiverBluesSociety #TheBlues #mississippibluestrail #bluesmusiclover
